Kimble & Associates was proud to participate in last week’s AFCEA GIS conference. We were able to attend some great sessions, and happy to present as well. Jenn represented the privacy perspective of identity management in collaborations with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The panel participants Jenn Behrens, Brian Kuwahara, Brent Kynaston, and Scott Swann represented several stakeholders engaged through various projects and work efforts with NIST in the identity space, and provided a holistic view of engaging with NIST to affect positive change for identity matters. Jenn spoke to her proficiency in supporting organizations embrace privacy-engineering through proactive commitment to privacy. Jenn shared her application of NIST tools as a vehicle for assisting organizations to realize assessed privacy risk to systems, organizations and consumers, as well as potential privacy controls.
Additionally, Ray participated on a panel with the Open Identity Exchange (OIX) and Verizon to discuss the latest innovations in global mobile security. The presentation focused on GSMA, the current adoption of Mobile Connect around the world and the upcoming pilots within the US market. GSMA’s “Mobile is Everything” video was shared, which led to a buzz throughout the day.
We will be at the ONC Blockchain conference being held Monday (September 26) and Tuesday (September 27) at the NIST campus in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Jenn’s innovative privacy assessment of the blockchain prototype for the Xcelerate pilot project will be showcased, and we hope to see you there!
