The 2019 IAPP Global Privacy Summit is set to welcome more than 3,500 professionals seeking education, guidance, inspiration and connection to the big picture of data protection. The globally-focused conference will feature in-depth training workshops and exciting after-hours gatherings, including Kuma’s very own event.
Kuma will share its expertise and the summit floor with industry leaders from a variety of well-documented companies. The likes of GE, Walmart, Wells Fargo Bank and NBC Universal will all be in attendance to speak. Social networking thought leaders include representatives from Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, among others. Technology powerhouses Google, IBM, Oracle and Microsoft will all be present.
Kuma’s very own Jenn Behrens, Partner and Executive Vice President of Privacy, will be among a talented list of speakers at this year’s summit. Kuma and the County of Santa Clara County will be collaborating to offer a “Government After Hours” event on Wednesday, May 1st, from 7:30 – 9:30pm at the City Club of Washington. Kuma is proud to co-host this event with The Future of Privacy Forum, FiscalNote and Grant Thornton on the eve of the conference. In addition to Kuma’s after-hours event, Behrens will also be speaking at two conference panel sessions. On May 1st, Kuma will be represented at the “Privacy Engineering Section Forum” as well as the “Marrying Privacy Engineering and User Experience session. On May 3rd, we will be wrapping up the conference with the “The Privacy Web Woven by Autonomous Vehicles” session.
