The Privacy Web Woven by Autonomous Vehicles

Description: Widespread development of autonomous vehicles is triggering significant privacy concerns about surveillance technology within the vehicle platforms. This public-private panel will deconstruct the complicated web of potential privacy harms to individuals and enterprises that arise within AV technology innovation and provide lessons-learned on utilizing a privacy risk management strategy to minimize the likelihood and impact of privacy harms with advancing technology. Panel members will also discuss how federal government agencies and private industry enterprises can successfully collaborate and share experiences, challenges and successes that ultimately benefit consumers and society in the context of increasingly connected data ecosystems.
